General;

First off if you did not read the TOS then you must go and read them now because that is part of the rules. Terms of Service

Now when your making your characters' biography you have a limited amount of time to get it done, if you do not finish it by the amount of time given then it will automatically be denied. Now, it will not be deleted but placed in the denied character board, if you want to make the character then simply go to the board and copy your info and finish it then make a new thread and wait for it to get accepted, simple.

So let's go over what is in the TOS just in case you did not understand it, or if it didn't explain the right thing, also for the just in case you did not read the TOS before you joined. Hopefully this will clear everything up for you and those who decide not to read before joining.

Out of Character;

There will be no swearing at anyone, this is not acceptable and if you do this you are only proving that you are really immature. This goes double for racist comments, insulting remarks, spamming, and name calling. If you do any of this you will be banned permanently and I will contact the proboards admin to tell them about you. If you find a way to rejoin by using another IP address and/or email address then those will continue to be banned causing whoever owns that computer not to be able to join because of you. If this happens enough well...Let me just say you don't want this to happen because I can and will make your life a living hell.

I hope you all already know this, you must respect all of your fellow members, both non-staff and staff. Please do not pm me asking to be a staff....If I wish for you to be one then I will pm you asking you to be a staff myself, not the other way around. I do not enjoy those kinds of pms so anyone who sends me one will get a warning along with a small rant from me, if it happens again you will be banned for a short period of time.

Feel free to pm me if you have any questions, concerns, if you don't understand part of the rules, if your having problems with another member, if you find anyone breaking any of these rules or just to talk. If you happen to see someone breaking the rules please pm me providing their name and giving me the proof of where they broke the rules. This way I can stop them and hopefully find a way to prevent it from ever happening again.

In Character;

You can swear in character but do not say anything that is directed toward the role player instead of the character. I do not want there to be OOC posts in your role playing and no chat speak. If you post OOC and I see it your post shale be modified and the OOC taken out. I would like to see more than five(5) lines alright? It is not all that hard so no complaining because I can use character numbers instead of line numbers. Please use the spell check as well as correct grammar. If you really need to, copy and paste it onto Microsoft Word then use the spell+grammar check to make the accurate corrections and then post it. If grammar becomes a serious problem then I will put links to sites in which you can learn more about grammar and the structure of sentences and paragraphs, this way we are all happy role players.

Aging;

Please note that this can change as the site grows older. One month in real life is equal to one season in the game. For both children and adults the aging system is the same. Four seasons equal one year so once four months pass that means that it has been one year in this game.

Species;

This site will start off with only one species. As the site gets bigger more species will be added. Role playing will effect what types of species will evolve. For example, if a lot of people role play in the pond then the next species to evolve will be more water bound.

Fighting;

As of right now there is no real fighting. But you are welcome to have mini mock fights anywhere throughout this form. As the site develops and territories are added there will be an update to this.

Breeding;

You may breed your characters whenever you wish. It is in the TOS about no porn which means no graphic breeding, and so to breed your characters you will simply be posting their names and stats in the Thicket.

Now I'm sure many of you are wondering about these things so...Yes there is force breeding, however we have limitations on this. Almost every breed/species of Protista can breed together, unless it says otherwise in their Palopedia page. Crosses are allowed because it helps make the site more interesting and helps with the evolution of Protista creatures.

You may breed in any season, has long as your character is mature and its the proper breeding season for that species. Maturity is reached at age 3 for all species, unless otherwise stated. They can breed immaturely, however, their children will suffer and there might even be a possible risk of death for the mother. Now there is also one other thing that we must clear up. The eggs will not always become fertile. When you post their breeding in the correct board a staff member will decided whether or not they become fertile. Remember, if they don't you can always try again, though you must wait a week in real life time before trying again.

You do not have to be mates to breed without force breeding. If you don't understand what this means then let me explain it to you. The male befriends the female and coos her into breeding with him, simple as that. The last thing that we need to discuss is the chances of your eggs becoming fertile. There is a 75% (3/4) chance of getting pregnant from normal breeding and there is a 50% (1/2) chance of them becoming fertile by force breeding. This way everything stays fair.

Birthing;

The eggs will hatch after the correct duration time, or whenever a staff tells you. Staff will determine everything, from gender to mutations. Here are some sorts of examples of what they can do, read on to find a list of some types of mutations and diseases that your offspring can be born with/develop later on in life.

They never get the chance to see their own mother or to hear her voice. They are born dead, it is such a sad sight to see. They never have a chance to live so may they rest in peace and have a better after life...

Deaf:
Sadly they will not be able to hear. There is of course different levels of this. They can be legally deaf, slightly deaf, deaf in only one ear. Their hearing goes on and off, etc. Also, if a child has this it will also say what time they will become deaf and to what degree.

Blind:
As I said about being deaf there are many different levels and what not. They will not be able to see but remember, this may no be permanent. Also, there is a different kind of being blind that goes in with this. And that is to be color blind. If that happens well then they can't see the correct colors, or can only see in one color or whatever. Sometimes this can affect the color of the eyes, but not always.

Fur/Skin Color Mutation:
The fur color or even skin color will be unnatural and strange. The degrees are very different and very greatly.[/ul]
Ah and the list goes on and on. Remember theses are just some, because in all reality the list can go one for years...well miles, and I really do not want to be researching all the different diseases in the world. So just deal with this information, and remember the child(s) does not always have a problem, most of them will actually be quite normal really...[/blockquote]


Limitations;

These are the limits on the things that I allow you to do. More of a description of this will be made later.

The role player of the female must agree to the force breeding, if they don't and you do it anyways you will be banned for two-four months. Now the limitation is that almost all of your children will have a defect and there is a very low chance of the female becoming pregnant.

Character Limitations:
Well the amount of characters you may have is at the moment unlimited, however, you must stay active with each of your characters. If you do not role play a character for more than thirty days then they will automatically get killed off, that is unless you post in the away board. There are no age limitations nor breed limitations so have fun and be creative.

Character Creation Time Limitations:
You have a total of ten days to finish your character from the time that you start making it, unless you post in the away board. Ten days is plenty to finish your character's biology. I will not be raising the length of this so don't even bother asking.[/ul][/blockquote]
